Queen’s Speech

This week saw the State Opening of Parliament, at which the Queen outlines the legislative agenda for the coming year in Parliament. It was announced that, in the remaining 11 months until the General Election, the Government will seek to establish new laws intended to increase housing supply and home ownership via the Infrastructure Bill – one of 15 new laws to be debated before May 2015.

The Infrastructure Bill will also contain number of measures that the Government hopes will reduce bureaucracy in establishing major infrastructure projects and enhance the UK’s energy independence, to support the overall aim of this year’s legislative programme – to improve the UK’s economic growth.   Read more ….
