Franchising Continues to Grow
According to the Office for National Statistics, 2010 saw the total UK GDP increased 4.3% from £1394.989bn in 2009 to £1455.397bn. The latest NatWest bfa Franchise Survey findings show that the franchising industry saw a similar trend, and contributed £12.4 billion to the country’s GDP in 2010 an increase of 5% from £11.8 billion in the previous year.
The survey also states that even with the recent economic climate the average turnover figures for franchisees still stands at £335,000, similar to figures last year.
Even though it has be a tough time for many UK businesses, the Natwest bfa Franchising Survey has clearly shown that the franchising industry is a stable area in which to invest, with some sectors such as property services growing at a fantastic rate.
