Trends in Franchise Operations
According to the latest Natwest bfa Franchising Survey, the number of UK franchise units increased 0.5% from 34,600 in 2008 to 34,800 in 2009.
The survey also states that 22%, 7656, of these units work from a homebased office. This figure suggests that there are more individuals wanting to experienced the benefits associated with the home working lifestyle.
