Annual House Price Inflation Reaches 10.5 Percent
For the first time since the credit crisis began, the rate of UK house price inflation has entered double figures, according to the latest figures published by Nationwide.
The average UK home is now worth £167,802.
Nationwide’s Chief Economist Martin Gahbauer commented: “The price of a typical UK property rose by a seasonally adjusted 1.0% month-on-month in April, leaving house prices 10.5% higher than a year earlier.”
