Gross Mortgage Lending Soars
According to the latest figures form the Council of Mortgage Lenders, gross mortgage lending soared 15% to around £13.1bn between May and June.
In May last year gross lending totaled £11.4bn and in June 2009 it was at £12.2bn.
CML economist Paul Samter says: “There are signs of house prices stabilising and more properties coming onto the market following the abolition of home information packs.
