Andrew Crawford – AAC Law

Presented by Andrew Crawford, this FREE 3 hour seminar will provide delegates with practical hints and advice on checking leases, and some of the trickier aspects will be analysed including:

  • CML Requirements
  • Enforceability of responsibilities
  • User clauses to look out for
  • Insurance arrangements
  • Shared ownership issues
  • Missing landlords
  • Right to manage
  • Service charge arrears

Delegates will be asked to bring a copy of an actual lease from the office in order to partially check this in the course of the session.
This course will appeal to all standards of conveyancer as it will improve the understanding of the more important issues and equip the delegate with greater confidence to tackle future leasehold purchases and avoid some traps for the unwary.

Andrew Crawford, AAC Law Ltd – Andrew lectures extensively across the country and brings his experience in private practice to make the law relevant to practitioners.  Andrew brings the law alive with a touch of humour and cynicism and makes the theory relevant to the practical problems faced by hard pressed conveyancers at the coal face – always mindful of both the need and difficulty of making conveyancing profitable and also the need to make pragmatic evaluations when coping with volumes.  Andrew’s training company, AAC Law Ltd, is a recognised CPD provider.
